Relief Society 1st Counselor – Kathy Austin

I am so happy to be a convert of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since moving to the Fayetteville Ward for a little over 3 years, I have served as a Ward Missionary and Gospel Doctrine teacher before being called to the Relief Society Presidency. My love of music keeps me busy with both Ward and Stake Choirs. I love learning from and with my sisters in Relief Society – the largest and oldest women’s organization in the world! I own a business consulting practice which focuses on project management, operations, and supply chain improvements. At home, my hobbies include cooking and baking, technology, reading, genealogy, and traveling. My husband and I met while we were both on active duty in the Air Force; this year we are celebrating 32 years of marriage.

Young Women President – Lisa Coburn

Youth Leaders Celesta McGee, Lisa Coburn and Eve Reese of the Young Women organization

I am currently serving as Young Women’s President. I was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. I’ve been a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was blessed to have my dream job – that of Mom. I have raised 3 boys and 3 girls who are now ages 18 to 28. I am now enjoying being a nana. I have a great love of children. I simply adore kids, kids of all ages! It is a great blessing for me hanging out with, teaching, getting to know and loving these young women. I feel lucky that I can witness the good within them. We meet on Sundays for lessons and instruction on living a Christ-centered life and we meet during the week to share in various wholesome activities. I think one of my favorite activities is that of service. It brings a lot of happiness getting outside of ourselves and doing for others.  I love seeing the growth of our young women as they accept assignments to lead and serve the other young ladies. I love seeing their faith increase and watching them step out of comfort zones as they grow in maturity and leadership. They aren’t afraid of a challenge and continuing to impress us leaders!!

Young Women First Counselor – Eve Reese

I was born and raised in Atlanta and have recently returned to this great city after 23 years. My husband and I have 6 kids that range in age from 11 to 21. I have been blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and the opportunity it gives me to volunteer in the community. I enjoy reading, organizing, sports, movies, the theater, the beach and road trips with my family. I love serving the youth in our church. They are bright, full of kindness and willing to serve those in need.

Young Women Second Counselor – Celesta McGee

Young Men President – Jody Jennings

I’m a father of 3 children and have been married to my college sweetheart for 29 years. I played college football oh so many years ago and now I am just a fan, but my love of sports continues on. I own two small businesses which keep me busy trying to provide for my family. It is always a balancing act between work and family. I also enjoy fly fishing, traveling and reading.

I currently serve as in the youth program where I work with the young men in our congregation. I really enjoy working with these fine young men. It keeps me feeling young and excited about life. I have learned you can spend a little quality time with a young man and see great changes for good in his life. With so many negative influences pressing upon these young men, I try to provide a positive program so they can grow and develop a strong relationship with the Lord.

Young Men First Counselor – Adam Ripperdan

Young Men Second Counselor – Kevin Coburn

Ward Mission Leader – James Perkins

I was born and raised in a city with a rich history called Oak Ridge, located in East Tennessee, just 30 minutes from Knoxville and the beautiful Smokey Mountains. Upon turning 19, I served a 2-year LDS church mission in Dallas, TX. I graduated from BYU in April of 1997. While finishing up school I joined SOS Staffing in 1995, and have been in the employment business ever since. I currently work for Delta Global Services in charge of their Staffing division. I love putting people to work and helping them provide for their families. Sometimes it is just a job (just over broke), but many times it can turn into a career for them. With over 22 years in the industry, I truly believe it is my life’s mission to help people find work. As rewarding as that is, my greatest joy is bringing others unto Christ. In addition to our physical needs, we also need spiritual support and strength. I know that the true source of this comes from Him who loves us beyond what we can comprehend, even He, Jesus the Christ. His love, grace, healing and peace is everlasting and is available to us all. I love the Bible and the Book of Mormon because these books testify of Him and His Atonement (His triumph over physical death and spiritual death / sin). I am grateful to be a husband to my eternal wife Jessica Dives for nearly 23 years and a father of 6 incredible children (ranging from 20 to 7 years). I know that it is in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where the original gospel of Jesus Christ and the required Priesthood have been restored through modern day prophets. This has allowed me to be sealed, in a temple of God, to my wife and children for time and all eternity (Matt 16:19). The gratitude and ultimate goal of being an eternal family is why I serve in the church. It is why I share my testimony, as I want everyone to know of these eternal truths and blessings. There are a lot of praiseworthy churches, but it is in our church where the “fullness “ of the gospel can be found. How very grateful I am for this knowledge and what joy and hope it provides. Amen!
